We here at Baseball Purist would like to wish all our readers a happy, joyous and safe July 4^th. In addition, we would like to note that this year is the 181^st anniversary of the game, which was first played and introduced by the Knickerbocker Base Ball Club of New York and their founding member Alexander Cartwright.
